Chucktown Throwdown
The 8th Annual Chucktown Throwdown will be taking place February 19-20, 2011 in beautiful Charleston, SC.
We will be hosting 20 Open teams and 10 Women's teams.
Some info for teams interested:
We will be playing at The Yard on James Island, these fields used to be deserving of their name "The Yard," but our school graciously, and necessarily, funded them to be FIXED UP! So no more lumpy fields! We will be using those fields along with the James Island County park right next door, which is also where our epic party will take place Saturday night!
-Food bags and water will be provided both days along with a disc for every team
-We will have food provided before the party (so let us know about any veggie or other specific meal choices). We will also have the usual band, The Rhythm Method, rockin' out along with some other possible surprises.
-There will be EMT on hand, and possibly, if we are lucky, a masseuse... yeah, I spelled that right.
Bid fee will be $300 and bids are due January 14th, 2011. Send your bids to [email protected]. Tell us your team name, a little bit about yourselves, previous year's results, expectations, food preferences, favorite mammal, best nicknamed player perhaps (checking your e-mail isn't all that fun, so help make it fun!), and any concerns or questions.
We will look into making deals with hotels, but more information is to come.
